4 Months Old

Wow!! Time is flying but with so much fun. Kaelyn went to her 4 month check-up on Friday and weighed in at 14 lbs 4 oz and is now 24 in. tall. She has evened out very well with her height and weight. The Dr. said we should wait until 6 months before we start any solids, but I am not sure we can wait that long. Kaelyn wants everything that we put in our mouths. She reaches for our cups and lets us know about it when we don't let her get her hands on it. She puts her mouth on it like she is going to drink out of it. We will see how we do and plan on making it until at least 5 months. Kaelyn is rolling everywhere and working hard at sitting up. She can hold her weight up for a minute or so, but then falls too far forward and gets uncomfy. She bears her weight on her feet very well and jibber jabbers tons. Tummy issues are great with the goats milk and aside from the bathtub, being outside is Kaelyn's favorite place to be. It's use in soothing her is still amazing to us. Yeah Kaelyn, we love you!!!

Fun in the Tub

Bathtime has become quite a joy around our house. Kaelyn is pretty smart and knows when bathtime is coming. If you put her on the bathroom rug, she knows what is coming next. She always starts to squeal with delight. Now, when I go into use the restroom myself, I have to leave her outside of the bathroom or hold her so that she isn't disappointed when I pick her back up without a bath. When she gets in the tub, she always has a look of shock on her face at first and then starts kicking around and squealing again. We love our water baby. I hope that these videos are ok with you all. We got our nakie nake baby. But they are so stinkin cute.

Rolly Polly

Kaelyn has now mastered rolling over both ways. It is so much fun seeing her scrim all over. When she first started doing it, she would get so happy with herself for accomplishing the task. This video was the first roll over we caught. She has now been doing it for 2 weeks. Tummy time is her favorite now that she can get herself there.

Yeah for the zoo!!

At People's church, we have this wonderful group of women that get together every week with our kiddos and do fun things and fellowship. A couple of weeks ago we got to go to the zoo. It was a gorgeous, overcast, cool day and all of the animals were chipper and excited to be out and let us see them. I feel so blessed to be a part of this group of women and for Kaelyn to have some good friends to grow up around. She was awake and happy to be there this time too. We also ran into our friend from work, Jennifer, and her family.

Just playing and laughing

Wake up routine

For the last several weeks, Kaelyn has been waking up so happy. She usually just talks to herself and then smiles so big when you go into the room to take her out of bed. It is one of those smiles that just melts your heart.
