2 weeks

Well, sorry we are being pokey on the updates. We have had family in town and been just a little bit busy. So, here goes. Little Miss Kaelyn is too precious for words. She amazes us everyday. We have been so blessed with her sleep patterns and good temperment (thus far). She is a bit cranky in the evenings, but once she is asleep for the night, she just wakes up to feed and is back down to sleep. Way to go girl!! She has been on several big adventures thus far and is a real trooper. Her parents are a bit crazy for sure. She has gone to a beautiful wedding, a birthday party, church, a graduation, and even the zoo. The puppy dogs are very curious about her, but are good with her. Kaelyn just got to meet her Grandma Jody and Aunt Theresa, who came down and spent the week with us. Also, my girls discipleship group came and visited. Things have been pretty busy. This week is going to be a lot more laid back, yet a little rough as well cause daddy has to go away for the week for army training. It is amazing how much they change even in that short of a time. But yeah, it is Kevin's last annual training with the army. Kaelyn seems to be pretty strong for her age. I layed her on her tummy the other day in her crib, and came back a little bit later and found her in a completely different place. I am not quite ready for that kind of movement at this age. One pic shows her turned sideways in her bed. She also hold her head up pretty well at times. We are amazed. Enjoy the pics. There should be plenty more coming this week as well.

Now we have Daddy's Baby pic

It will be fun to keep up as the months roll on to see who she takes after. We know that each month she is likely to favor a different one. It is so neat to see how God pieces these little ones together. Oh, and Kaelyn is sporting her wonderful Fuzzibunz cloth diapers.

Dr.'s appointment at 1 week 1 day

Today, we went to the dr. to see how much we weighed. We gained a whopping 8 oz in the last 3 days. We have a little miss piggy on our hands. She will be good and healthy. The dr is very pleased with her progress, and is amazed at how alert an attentive she is for her wee little age. She is also doing very well with sleeping at night between feeds. We are so blessed and having a blast with her. I also went to wal-mart with her today and carried her in her wrap. She looked around at everything the whole time that we were there. She kept trying to hold her head up so that she could see things. She never shed a tear either. She is such a good girl.

First Week

So, we have been home for a few days now and are making lots of big and wonderful adjustments. Kaelyn is such a joy, and of course is the most beautiful baby in the whole wide world. She is keeping mom and dad on their toes trying to figure her out, but we are making really good strides. Kaelyn is a wonderful eater, and a very sporadic sleeper at this moment. She had her first Doctor's appointment this week as well, and weighs the same as when she left the hospital, 7lbs 11 oz. We hope that you enjoy the pics. Oh, Kristin, thanks for letting us borrow the swing. Kaelyn likes it a bunch so far. Aunt Theresa, the feet pic is for you. Do they look familiar. Yesterday, Kaelyn's cousins, Anna and Caroline came and visited. Anna did not know what to say about her new cousin, but got to hold her and give her a kiss. When she left with Grammy, she told grammy how much she loves baby Kaelyn and that she got to hold her and kiss her, and began telling a story about how much she loved her.
